- Job Title: Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Officer (CEMEAI)
Location: Central Spain
Salary: Dependant on experience

TARCG Aviation has an exciting new opportunity for a QHSE Officer to work with our aviation client based in Central Spain. The successful candidate will play a key role within a team that combines in-depth knowledge and experience of airport group support equipment (GSE), along with expertise in QHSE management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments and work with the stations on the take the necessary mitigating actions.
- Ensure QHSE related risks are appropriately addressed within operational risk registers.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near-miss events to determine root causes and implement corrective measures to prevent a recurrence.
- Plan and coordinate quality and safety KPI monitoring (test and inspection activities, statistical techniques).
- Support projects aimed at improvement safety
- Support the development and implementation of safety promotions (training, communications, safety weeks, and QHSE policies and programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and ensure the integration of safety practices into daily operations.
- Promote a culture of safety across the organisation
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for safety inspections, audits, safety reports, investigations, corrective / preventive actions, hazard identification and risk management and training.
- Conduct audits, inspections and enforce compliance with procedures.
- Identify and escalate risks to the Regional Head of QHSE.
- Promote awareness of customer and regulatory requirements throughout the organization
- Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, including developing evacuation plans and procedures
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety plans and procedures, and adjust or make recommendations for improvement as needed.
- University degree/professional qualifications or equivalent in related field
- A minimum of years’ experience in safety management and/or quality management system, preferably in large-size aircraft / aviation environments
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in airline or ground handling company airside operation, aircraft turnaround activities and exposure to cargo operations
- Advanced spoken and written English
- Good oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and motivate others at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- Attention to detail and the ability to enforce safety procedures and protocols.
- Leadership to drive standards, actions and activities at all levels
- A sense of passion for improving safety & quality standards and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to persuade, gain support, obtain commitment, and mobilize a team to action
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite
- Personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness
- Goal / target oriented
- Willingness to travel at short notice, may need to spend short/ long periods of time in specific locations as required. Must have European passport or Schengen Visa
